How to make your entry stand out
Tips for a winning entry
1. Choose the right category
Carefully review the award categories and select the one(s) that best fit your work. A well-matched entry has a higher chance of impressing the judges. If your project aligns with multiple categories, tailor each submission accordingly.
2. Read the criteria thoroughly
Each category has specific judging criteria—use them as a checklist! Clearly demonstrate how your work meets or exceeds these expectations. The strongest entries directly address each requirement with compelling evidence.
3. Tell a clear and compelling story
Your entry should be engaging, concise, and impactful. Explain the problem you set out to solve, the innovative approach you took, and the measurable impact of your work. Use real-world data, case studies, or testimonials to strengthen your case.
4. Highlight innovation and impact
Judges want to see groundbreaking contributions to NextGen Biomed Leaders. Emphasize what makes your work unique and how it has advanced the field—whether through scientific breakthroughs, patient outcomes, or technological advancements.
5. Use data to back up your claims
Strong entries are supported by solid evidence. Include key metrics, research findings, clinical trial results, or patient success stories to demonstrate real-world impact.
6. Keep it clear and concise
Avoid jargon and overly technical language—write as if you’re explaining your work to a non-specialist. Judges often review many entries, so clarity and brevity can make your submission stand out.
7. Proofread before submitting
Errors and typos can weaken an otherwise strong entry. Before you submit, take the time to proofread carefully, or ask a colleague to review it for clarity and consistency.
8. Submit early to avoid last-minute issues
Don’t wait until the deadline! Submitting early allows time to troubleshoot any technical issues and ensures you don’t miss out due to last-minute complications.
9. Believe in your work – and show it
Confidence is key. You’ve done something remarkable—now is your chance to showcase it. A well-crafted, passionate submission can make a lasting impression on the judges.
